Project: Ahoj, Praha!, Prague, Czechia. Contact: etd.atlas@gmail.com. Payments and subscriptions are processed by Paddle as Merchant of Record (the seller of record for the transaction). Its legal details, applicable taxes and final total are shown before payment is confirmed.

1. Privacy policy (GDPR)

We respect your privacy and process personal data in accordance with EU Regulation 2016/679 (GDPR) and the laws of the Czech Republic.

What data we collect

Email — to create your account, confirm a purchase, restore access, provide support and send course messages you have separately agreed to receive.
Account and access data — the technical account identifier, subscription status and access period. These are needed to unlock paid materials across devices. Passwords are handled by Netlify Identity: we cannot view them and do not store them in readable form.
Learning data — your progress, chosen settings and achievements. Most of this data is stored locally in your browser (localStorage) and is not sent to us.
Technical data — anonymised visit statistics (if private analytics is connected).

We do not store bank card data: payment is handled on the payment provider's side (see "Payment" in the Terms).

Why we use it

to give you access to the course and keep your progress;
to respond to your enquiry;
to send project news with your consent (you can unsubscribe at any time).

Sharing with third parties

We do not sell your data. We may use processors (hosting, payment provider, email service) that process data on our behalf and within GDPR: Netlify or another host, Paddle for payments and subscription management, and an email service if you give separate consent.

Your rights

You have the right to request access to your data, its correction or deletion, to restrict processing and to withdraw consent. To do so, write to etd.atlas@gmail.com. You may also lodge a complaint with the Czech data protection authority (Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů, uoou.cz).

Cookies

The site uses technically necessary browser features (localStorage) and Netlify Identity authentication data so your account and course can work. Your browser may store locally: lesson progress, your chosen learning track, theme, sound settings, recent lessons, vocabulary, reviews, checklists and Exam Trainer results.

We do not store in localStorage any bank cards, passport data, official documents, medical information or personal data needed for the exam/permanent residence. If you clear your browser data, local progress may reset. Analytics or marketing cookies are used only with your consent, if such services are connected.

2. Terms of use (public offer)

By using the site and purchasing paid access, you agree to these terms.

What you get

Free (€0): the whole alphabet and pronunciation, the first 5 A1 lessons, the phrasebook for 3 cities, and the "useful for life in Czechia" section.
Premium (€8/mo): all A1–A2 lessons, all 6 learning methods, Czech audio, course vocabulary, the extended Soupis A1–A2, guides, checklists and reviews.
Annual Max (€39/year): full Premium plus 12 exam practice sessions, reading, listening, writing, speaking, a model test, a weak-spots map, a timer, a final score report and 1 year of access.

Payment

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides payment-related customer service and handles returns, calculates applicable taxes and shows the final total before confirmation. Access opens after payment is confirmed and is linked to the account used before checkout. The Paddle receipt email may be different from the account email.

Nature of the service

This is an educational product. We help you prepare for a language exam, but we do not guarantee a pass and we are not an official examination centre. The exam itself is taken separately at an accredited centre; current rules are on cestina-pro-cizince.cz.

Intellectual property

All course materials (texts, audio, illustrations, the character Liska) belong to the project rights holder. They may not be resold or distributed without written permission.

3. Refunds and access

The product is digital content to which access is granted immediately.

Withdrawal and refunds

Mandatory consumer rights and Paddle's current refund policy apply. For digital content, the right of withdrawal may end once access begins if explicit consent to immediate performance and acknowledgement of losing the cancellation right were given at checkout. Placing an order alone does not remove mandatory consumer rights without the required consent.

How to request a refund

access was technically not granted and the problem could not be resolved;
a double payment or a technical charging error.

You can submit a request through Paddle buyer support or email etd.atlas@gmail.com, stating the payment email. Paddle reviews requests under applicable law and its current policy; approved refunds are returned to the original payment method.

Monthly and annual subscriptions

You can cancel the subscription at any time; access remains until the end of the paid period. After cancellation, you are not charged for the next period.
